Copied by ‘Alī ibn ‘Abd al-Jalīl ibn ‘Alī ibn Muḥammad from a 1036 AD manuscript copied by Hibatallāh ibn Bishr al-Sham‘ī, which in turn was copied from a manuscript of al-Ṣūfī’s assistant Faraj ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Habashī; the sections on Cygnus, Cassiopeia, Perseus, Aries and Taurus are replacements from the Ottoman period; King et al (1998); Turkmani (2012) 67 & 72-73; Savage-Smith (2013).
