Stele of l'ui-zcika, Kizil

Source: fig. 49, p 53, Bilderatlas zur Kunst und Kulturgeschichte Mittel-Asiens : vol.1 by Albert von Le Coq
Translated from the German:
Stele of l'ui-zcika, Qyzil Cave statues, about 700 AD (?).
This stela shows the old form of the stiff harness with great clarity.
The armour consists of a harness with enormous high curved collar
Pieces of the collar show on its exterior a series of elongated vertically riveted platelets. They are painted bright green and bear on the rear edge the heads of 5 rivets each. Whether similar plates were mounted on the inner side itself can not be discerned.
