Babur and his men drive the Uzbeks toward Samarkand. The soldiers at the top stop to gaze upon a probable spring, while the others flee towards Samarkand, viewed in the distance along the horizon. Following his victory over the Uzbeks at Khwaja Didar, Babur was able to oust them and occupy Samarkand for some months in 1497.
