Painting (watercolour). Folio 26 from an album showing Turkish costume. Müjdeci, a messenger who carried good news, especially one who announced the safe return of the pilgrim caravan from Mecca. Carrying a book he is wearing a turban with a pink cap and a gold aigrette on the brim. Brown sleeveless kaftan with long flaps. Blue robe with voluminous sleeves.
