Painting (watercolour). Folio 81 from an album showing Turkish costume. Çuhadar (messenger or servant) of the yeniçeri Aga or chief of the Janissaries. Green kaftan with sleeves wide at the top and tight over the forearms, and tucked into his wide red and gold kuşak in front. Red-striped robe and wide red trousers. Wearing a dagger.
