Painting (watercolour). Folio 50 from an album showing Turkish costume. Mevlevi dervish wearing the tall pale brown hat of the mevlevi order (sekke-i şerif). Yellow jacket, blue blouse, voluminous skirt billowing out as he turns, one hand (palm uppermost) raised to Heaven, the other pointing at the ground. Bare feet.
