Acemioğlanı Kulluk Neferi

The Acemi (Novice) Ocağı, also known as the Acemioglanlar Ocağı, was the quarry established for the enderun in the Ottoman Empire to train the students and the soldiers needed by the Kapikulu army, especially the infantry part. Those who received training in this corps were called acemi oğlan (novice boys). At the end of the training given in the Novice Corps, the talents of the children were discovered and those who would continue their education in the janissary corps and the palace were selected.
