On the way Varqa meets a physician whom he asks to cure him of the pain he is suffering. But the physician says only reunion with his beloved will cure him.
Varqa prays for God to take his soul since he can not bear to be separated from Gulshah. Varqa dies.
Next: A messenger comes to tell of Varqa's death. Gulshah recites a poem during the separation.
