COUPE À DÉCOR DE CAVALIER Khorassan, Nichapour 10 - 11 siècle Coupe creuse caractéristique des céramiques de Nichapourà thème central. Un cavalier tenant une épée sur fond jaune peuplé de quadrupèdes et de volatiles. L'ample harnachement de la monture, traité dans un noir-brun intense et parsemé de points ocellés, suggèreou un thème astral ou l'évocation d'un personnage de haut rang.
Bowl decorated with horseman, Nishapur, Khorassan, 10th-11th century. Hollow cut typical of the central theme of Nishapur ceramics. A rider holding a sword on a yellow background populated by quadrupeds and birds. The ample harness of the horse, treated in an intense dark-brown and dotted with ocellated points, suggests an astral theme or the evocation of a personage of high rank.
